Georgia Southern Botanical Garden Wedding

Kimberly and Zachary chose the Georgia Southern Botanical Gardens in Statesboro, GA for their October wedding; and I am thrilled they did! I am a lover of the outdoors and all things flower and green! I felt in my element and as happy as can be in a beautiful botanical garden at Georgia Southern University.

The ceremony space was adorned with a white pergola arch decorated with bright yellow sunflowers along with red and white roses plus greenery that was provided by the super talented The FlowerGirl Jackie Phillips. Then add in the lovely white chairs provided by Edwards Events, and of course surrounded by the most beautiful lush green landscaping provided by mother nature herself

The day was purely perfect because it was filled with an abundance of family and friends that were present to show their love and support for Zachard and Kimberly on their most special day! I am so happy they let me be a part of their wedding day by capturing such special moments they can share and treasure always.

Both Zachary and Kimberly choose to get ready for the wedding at the cottage located on the property at Georgia Southern Botanical Garden. They decided to exchange letters (via the maid of honor) they had written for each other as they were getting ready.

Next is was on to getting dressed and the bridesmaid and groomsmen did a marvelous job at helping Zachary & Kimberly

Awwwwww…. the First Look!!!! I really really love when my couples choose to do a first look before the ceremony. It is such a special intimate time set aside just for them to see each other before the ceremony and spend a few minutes together by themselves before the busyness of the wedding day begins. The Georgia Southern Botanical Garden has so many private winding paths and any of them provided the perfect space where I could place Zachary away from everybody else and have Kimberly just walked to him and I could just tuck myself into the background of the scenery and let them have their time together.

Kimberly wanted to have a first look with her daddy and her reaction when she saw him is priceless and her mom was waiting nearby to have a special moment with her also.

It was so fun that bridal and groom parties wanted to do a toast and neither of them knew that the other had done it

Dog lovers are my kind of people and when I met Kimberly for the first time and she told me she was a vet tech I knew she was my kind of person! I absolute adore that they included their sweet pup by making him the Dog of Honor in the wedding and paid tribute to their pup they had recently lost with a pet friendly biscuit bar named in his honor.

The wedding ceremony was so sweet; everybody was happy and smiling as Kimberly came down the aisle to a anxiously awain Zachary. Their sweet pup looked on as his parents made the union official. They choose to include the Unity Braid Ceremony in their wedding as a closing before the final prayer and the kiss!!

After the ceremony we did not waste any time getting pictures of the wedding party including a few fun ones and a more of the bride and groom before everybody headed off to the dinner and reception.

While everybody was eating dinner I snuck away to the cottage to put together a “Day of Wedding” slideshow. I picked out 100 or so images from the wedding day leading up to the reception to show the bride and groom and all of their guest on my big projector screen. I had the couple pick out 4 song ahead of time to be played during the showing of the slideshow. I heard laughter and saw a few tears during the slideshow and I knew I had done my job well!

The laughter and tears didn’t end with the. slideshow. The toast by the bestman and maid of honor got a few laughs and tears also.

After all the emotion of the slideshow and toast it was time to cut and eat cake the cake along with a side peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream; doesn’t it look delicious!

Next was the beginning of the dancing starting with the father/daughter and mother/son dance. I always find it so interesting as to what song each pair has picked out. Then of course the bride and groom graced the dance floor together as a Mr. and Mrs. Bryant for their First dance of the night.

Then to closeout the night out we had the traditional bouquet and garter toss.
